Sustainability
It is indeed true that with time comes maturity. Just look at financial reporting by companies. It started out as simple book-keeping and progressed to financial accounting using globally accepted standards that enable users to comfortably compare one company to another. Sustainability reporting was the next big move with companies showing their economic, environmental and social performance. It’s time now for another quantum leap. It’s time for companies to reflect a wider view of their performance in an integrated report shows the link between a company’s financial performance and its economic, environmental and social performance.
This website aims to offer an information hub for chartered accountants (SA), corporate sustainability managers and the general business community. It highlights the current major sustainability issues and gives the history of sustainability reporting along with the available standards and guidelines. The brand new integrated reporting section aims to offer an information resource on this growing, but still young, area of reporting.
The page titled " South Africa's Integrated Reporting Committee and Working Group" is the official web page of the Integrated Reporting Committee (IRC) in South Africa.
